                                   At a dinner Tuesday night to honor the winners of this year's
                                      New Jersey's Finest program for privately held companies
                                                           Water-Jel Technologies was named the 
                                                                         COMPANY OF THE YEAR.  

                   Water-Jel makes blankets, sterile dressings, antiseptic spray and first aid kits
                   for victims of burns and other accidents.   Those products are used by fire

                  departments across the country but also by the U.S. military, which put them
                  to work earlier this year in the Iraq war.   Water-Jel had a moment of glory in
                  the movie backdraft, which recounted the heroics of firefighters.   Actors were
                  coated with its products so they could run through flames during the filming.
